Molly Longman

Freelance writer. Editor. Podcaster.

About Me

Molly is generalist journalist based in Phoenix. She spends her days reporting on things like immigration, education, and America's "toughest sheriff" Joe Arpaio as a Voice Media Group fellow at the Phoenix New Times. She spends her nights freelancing and internally correcting her Facebook friends' grammar.

Her work has been featured in/on Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan.com, Mic.com, Los Angeles Magazine, 5280 Magazine, Midwest Living, and other publications.

She graduated from Drake University in 2017 after winning Associate Collegiate Press Pacemaker and Hearst Journalism awards for her work on the Drake Magazine. As multimedia editor of the student-produced publication she wrote features, managed writers, produced a podcast, and oversaw digital storytelling.

She is a ferocious fact-checker and researcher, to her ex-boyfriends' dismay.

Perhaps most importantly, Molly feels uncomfortable and insecure talking about herself in third person. How was that?
